Captain Nemo’s Spa Warranty — Coverage Summary

5-Year Fibreglass Structural Warranty

Captain Nemo’s warrants the structural tank against defects in materials that result in water loss from the structure for 5 years from the invoice date.

5-Year Aluminium/Galvanised Frame Warranty

The frame is warranted against defects in materials or workmanship that cause a failure to support the spa for 5 years from the invoice date.

2-Year Acrylic Surface Warranty

The acrylic surface is warranted against blisters or cracks that result in water loss due to defects in material for 2 years from the invoice date.

• During this period, Captain Nemo’s will repair or replace (at our discretion) a spa found defective under this warranty.
• If on-site repair is not possible, the owner must return the spa at their expense. Captain Nemo’s and its agents are not responsible for any freight, shipping, removal, or reinstallation costs.
• Always use the hardcover; this warranty does not cover damage or discolouration caused by heat or sun exposure.

2-Year Equipment Pack & Controller Warranty

The equipment pack and controller are warranted against defects in materials or workmanship for 2 years from the invoice date.

• Warranty is void if an extension lead is used.
• This warranty applies only to portable models.
• Not covered if the spa is supplied for in-ground installation or requires a separate gas heating and pump package.

 

Other Component Warranties

1. Blower: 1 year from delivery date
2. Ozone/UV system: 1 year
3. Stainless steel fittings & trim rings: 1 year
4. Heater element: 2 years from purchase date
5. Spa cover: 1 year from purchase date
6. Jets/plumbing leaks: 1 year from purchase date
7. Pumps (motor failure): 2 years from invoice date
8. LED lights: 12 months from purchase date
9. Headrests: 12 months from purchase date
10. Spa cabinetry: 2 years from purchase date for defects resulting in a failure to support the spa
11. Consumables (seals, rubber O-rings, wearable parts): 1 year from purchase date
12. Labour: 12 months from purchase date. After 12 months, Captain Nemo’s supplies warranted parts only; labour charges are payable by the consumer.

Conditions of Warranty

• All spas purchased through Captain Nemo’s must be maintained and serviced with:
• a 6-monthly drain, clean, and inspection; and
• logged professional monthly water test results.
  Failure to follow this service schedule voids the warranty.
• The warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser at the name and address on the invoice.

 

 

Captain Nemo’s Warranty – Limitations & Exclusions

The following items are not covered by any warranty:

1. In-ground installations / separate plant
   If the spa is supplied for in-ground installation or requires a separate gas heater and pump package, the warranty is limited to the shell structure, jet faces, and acrylic surface only.
2. Unauthorised alterations or repairs
   Any alteration, misuse, abuse, or repair attempted by anyone other than a Captain Nemo’s authorised representative voids the warranty.
3. Out-of-range water temperatures
   Damage from operating the spa outside 4°–40°C.
4. Improper water chemistry or maintenance
   Damage from incorrect sanitising or chemical use, including (but not limited to) sodium trichlor tablets/sticks, calcium hypochlorite, sodium hypochlorite, undissolved chemicals left on the surface, caustic solutions, or any chemical incompatible with acrylic surfaces or equipment.
5. Incorrect chemical dispenser use
   Surface damage caused by improper use of chemical dispensers.
6. Sun/UV exposure
   Surface damage caused by leaving the spa uncovered in direct sunlight.
7. Failure to follow the owner’s manual
   Any damage arising from not following prescribed procedures.
8. Leaving the spa empty
   The spa must remain filled with water at all times. Damage from an empty spa is not covered.
9. Improper base or support
   Damage from failure to install the spa on a hard, level surface capable of supporting its weight per standard building practices.
10. Incorrect electrical connection
    Damage resulting from improper or incorrect electrical hook-up.
11. Environmental corrosion
    Surface rust on steel components caused by environmental exposure.
12. Commercial use coverage
    For spas used commercially, warranties are limited to:
• Shell structure & acrylic surface: 2 years from delivery
• Turbo blower & spa cover: 6 months from delivery
13. Transport or relocation
    Damage caused by moving the spa.
14. Acts of God
    No coverage for events outside human control (e.g., storms, floods, lightning).
15. Audio systems
    Stereos and stereo components are excluded.
16. Filters & water flow restrictions
    Damage caused by dirty, clogged, or calcified filter cartridges.

Liability & Access

• Captain Nemo’s and its authorised agents are not liable for personal injury or loss of use of the spa, nor for incidental or consequential costs (including but not limited to building, door, deck, or other structure removal).
• Clear access to all spa components (including pipework) must be provided for service. Captain Nemo’s is not responsible for any costs to create such access.

Service Requirement

• To maintain warranty validity, a 6-monthly service must be performed by Captain Nemo’s or an approved service agent.
