But, there is a way you can increase your pool season. That is by using pool heaters. However, there are many different types to choose from and it can get confusing. But have no worries, because Captain Nemo's Pool and Spa Supplies has come up with this blog post to help you choose what type of pool heater you need!

Electric Heaters

These cheap to buy but hefty to operate heaters use electric current to generate heat and heat your pool. These are perfect for smaller pools or spas. The biggest advantage electric heaters have is that they operate independently of the air temperature, so you'll get even heating no matter how cold it is outside.

Gas Heaters

These types of heaters use natural gas or propane to generate heat. Similar to electric heaters, they are cheap to buy, but expensive to operate. However, gas heaters last fewer years and pollute the air while they are active. But, they can heat up your pool pretty fast.

Heat Pumps

These heaters use electricity to pump heat to your pool similar to electric heaters. However, some use heat from air or water to heat your pool. These heaters are usually eco-friendly, cheap and last over 20 years. However, they can be quite slow to heat up the pool and they're generally expensive to purchase, but cheap to operate.

No matter which type of pool heater you may want to use, Captain Nemo's Pool and Spa Supplies has it in stock along with other pool essentials like pool cleaners, pool supplies, pool equipment, pool chemicals and more. Don't hesitate to give us a call or visit our store in person!
