Make the Most of Family Time in the Spa

Make the Most of Family Time in the Spa

10th Sep 2019

Family time is important, but with technology use on the rise, children are spending more time behind screens and less time with family. If you are looking for ways to spend more time with your family, then here are some great family bonding ideas for the spa.

Winter warming

When it’s cold outside, there’s nothing better than slipping into a nice hot, bubbling spa. For some quality time with the kids this winter, pop on their beanies and take them out in the evening with a cup of hot chocolate and spend some time looking at the stars.

Summer lovin’

Summer provides non-stop opportunities for family spa time. Slip on their sun shirts, slop on some 50+ sunscreen and get the kids out into the spa. Deck out your spa with some awesome pool games such as a ring toss or inflatable noughts and crosses and enjoy some family fun.

Mindful meditation

For kids in their teens, spa time can be a great opportunity for you to teach mindfulness. Mindfulness is the practice of quietening the mind and staying in the present to process thoughts, feelings and sensations. You can use the time to relax together, particularly after a hard day at work or school.

Practise swimming

For the little ones, large bodies of water such as pools or the ocean can be intimidating. If you are trying to teach your toddler to swim, then why not practice their kicking and breathing in the spa. Simply pop on their inflatable arm bands and give them support when needed.

If you’re looking for a quality spa for your Gold Coast or Brisbane family, then come in to see us at Captain Nemo’s. We have a huge variety of family sized spas, including the Sunset Spa range and Alpine Spa range, to suit all budgets and lifestyles.
